Android, and Why I Won't Just Shut Up About It Already

If you follow my Twitter account (Statistically, a highly unlikely probability, but still) you are already aware of the fact that I am a huge fan of Android. I'm always posting news and opinions on stuff happening in the Android community, always tweeting about neat things I can do with my phone that no one cares about but me. Why? Why such devotion to a mobile platform? Well, I've been thinking about this very thing for a little while now, and I think I'm ready to render an answer.

Grooveshark: It's Like Some Kind of Freaking Party Genie

There are a bunch of sources one might go to these days for their Internet Music fix. There's Last.fm, the ubiquitous Pandora, etc. But one I see discussed far less often is a relatively new offering called Grooveshark. I started using Grooveshark around last December, and ever since, it has had a permanent place on my quickbar. Why? Well, you're just gonna have to hit the Read More button to find out.

Sony Xperia Play Announced, We Can't Imagine Why

If you follow tech news at all, you've probably long since seen one of the fifty-odd leaks in which this phone has starred. Taking the "Most Expected Phone of 2011" award handily, the Sony Xperia Play is a tough contender for "Most Pointless", as well. Harsh words, I know, but well-founded, as I will make abundantly clear after the break.

LG Posts Optimus 3D Ad, It Is Just Awful

Oh, man. So, LG has released a new ad, and man. Man.

You know what? Anything I could say right now would only diminish what you're about to experience, so I'm just going to say to hit the break and we'll talk more about this little gem in a moment.

Galaxy Tab 10.1 Announced

Welp, Samsung has apparently just pulled the trigger on their new Tablet, the Galaxy Tab 10.1. With a dual-core processor and a camera that can record in 1080p, it looks like the XOOM actually has some competition. Which is good, because if rumors are any indication, the XOOM looks to be priced to appeal to the "irresponsibly rich" demographic. Just recently, it went up for preorder on Best Buy's website for a flabbergasting $1199, and though there's a good chance that's not the actual price, it's still shocking. If the Tab 10.1 is priced competitively enough, it could be a pretty big deal.

Mission Statement

Greetings, Internet!

So, I seem to have given into that most ubiquitous of desires. I have started another blog. Will I keep up with it? Will anyone care? I hope so.

So, what is the purpose of this blog? What sort of content may be expected? Well, I have long been a follower of tech news, and I have long been interested in writing some of my own. So I suppose this is a little bit practice, a little bit frivolity. I would expect tech news that I find interesting, and I would expect opinions. I tend to be very opinionated when it comes to these things, you see.

Well, without further ado, I guess I'll make an actual post with actual content.
